Greetings SEMBBers!
My sincerest thanks to the 15 Club members who stayed all the way through last week’s heartbreaker! I’m beginning to feel the close ones hurt a lot more than the blow outs; and last Sunday’s doubly because it was a loss to the Ratbirds. Well,after tomorrow night we have a bye week and we’ll see what the team does in that season intermission period.
This is Week 8 and we are also near the halfway point of the season. I wish I could be fawning over the successful performance of the team to this point, but obviously I can’t. The Browns are 2-5…that’s the cold reality. We’ll have to see how they do tomorrow night at home against the Bungles.LAST CHANCE TO VOTE ON OUR CHARITY OPTIONS
This is the last week for you to voice your opinions on how we will disburse funds we raise in the upcoming charity auction. As a reminder We have the following suggested organizations:Turning Point in Macomb County (https://turningpointmacomb.org/) North/EastFirst Step in Wayne County (https://www.firststep-mi.org/) West/SouthGrace Centers of Hope in Pontiac (https://gracecentersofhope.org/) North/EastHaven of Oakland County (https://www.haven-oakland.org/) North/EastPaula’s House in Monroe (https://paulashouse.squarespace.com/) West/South What I need from all of you is direction on how we will distribute what we raise. The questions are simple:Do we split it equally among the five charities listed above?Do we choose a couple locations–one East/North and one West/South and split the proceeds between the two. You will need to vote for two.So, reply back to this email with your decision and thoughts. If you opt for the second option, please also include your two choices–one North/East, one West/South.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
OK, the Brownies are back in the national spotlight tomorrow night hosting the Cincytucky Bungles. It’s an 8:15 pm kickoff. I, like many of the other members who have season tickets will be at the stadium to watch the game. Unfortunately, Dave T. is under the weather and will not be able to host the viewing at the Den. I have however, requested that the Den reserve a couple of tables in the main lounge area for members who would like to come in and watch the game together. Just mention your with the Browns Backers and they’ll escort yo to the reserved area. Let’s hope all of us have a lot to sheer about tomorrow night!
