Greetings SEMBBers! After last Sunday’s loss, it is official that the Browns will not have a winning season this year. Frustrations are running high all around–fans. players, etc. And so far, I don’t see Shadeur Sanders as the answer to our QB problems either…just my opinion.
Cleveland City Council has approved, with minor revisions, the agreement struck between Jimmy Haslam and Mayor Bibb. Thus opposition to the move to Brookpark has now been stifled. For anyone who cares, a preliminary report came out about potential PSL costs for the new Haslam Sports Complex in Brookpark. The amounts being bandied about are ridiculous, bordering on the obscene! Check it out–

This email is going to cover two weeks since I will be flying out Saturday with my family for a seven day cruise that hopefully will be filled with sun, sand and copious amounts of adult beverages.

A SECOND HALF COLLAPSE Anyone who watched last Sunday’s game had a pretty good feeling at the end of the first half. The Browns played even with a good 49ers team. However, the second half completely obliterated those good feelings.
To say that it was a collapse is putting it mildly. Not only did the wheels come off, but the engine fell out and the axles snapped in two! It was painful to watch.
After that botched fourth down wildcat attempt deep in our territory, I think its safe to assume that put the final nail in Stefanski’s coaching coffin. Even if the team runs the rack on the last few games, it won’t help him.
The lone bright spot in the game was that Garrett got his 19th sack–only four more to go to break the NFL record. And it could happen this Sunday.
THE TITANS COME TO TOWN What may be the perfect tonic to wash the taste of last Sunday’s debacle out of our collective mouths is the fact that the Browns host the hapless, 1-11 Titans this Sunday. As struggling as our offense has been, Tennessee’s is worse. it could be a feast for our Defense (and hopefully Myles Garrett!). Unfortunately. the Titans are in a similar situation as the Browns since their Defense is pretty good despite the offensive woes. It will certainly be another challenge for Sanders and the offense. Still, the Browns are a 3.5 point favorite.
Kickoff is 1 pm. No local broadcast for the game, so come on over to the Den and watch it with your fellow Backers. Perhaps, you’ll witness history if Garrett can get four sacks.
THEN ON TO DA BEARS The following Sunday, the 14th, the Browns will travel to the Windy City to take on the 9-3 Chicago Bears. It will be another test for the Browns, as the Bears currently are favored by 7.5 points.
Depending on how the Titans game end up, maybe the Browns will have a little momentum on their side when they take on Chicago.
One thing is for certain, we’ll be at the Den to watch the game!
That’s all for now except, of course, always and forever…
GO BROWNS!!!
