Greetings SEMBBers!
Well, the Browns are 1-1 going into Week 3. We have a Thursday Night Football game this week when Pukesburg comes to town.
SUNDAY’S GAME
I’m not going to dwell on the debacle of last Sunday. Sufficed to say the defensive meltdown was, unfortunately, epic. I waited all day yesterday for news that the Browns fired Joe Woods or benched Grant Delpit, but nothing happened. Then it dawned on me this morning that with the short week it probably would not be a good move. So, I’ll wait until Friday to see if anything happens.
OK, enough of that.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
As mentioned above the Squeelers are in town to take on the Browns this Thursday Night. TNF is now on Amazon Prime and not part of NFL ticket, but The Northville Sports Den is working on a solution to viewing the game. Again, we will have our special guest host in attendance and I’m sure he’ll have something up his sleeve. However, please get back to me if you plan to attend the viewing at Northville so we can have as accurate a headcount as possible.
CHARITY SHIFT
As I wrote in last week’s email, we are switching charities this year from Penrickton to a couple of women’s shelters in the Metro area. To date, I received two member responses,both of whom suggested an organization called First Step . I’ll give it another week for any other suggestions before a final commitment. Feel free to respond to this email with your thoughts.
