Greetings SEMBBers! We’re at the cusp of the end of the first quarter of the season and the Browns sit at 1-3. Yes, its discouraging. Yes, we have problems on both sides of the line–both injury and performance. And, yes, our Head Coach is doggedly sticking to call ing offensive plays during the game.
About the only thing I can say is that the rest of the season will be interesting and very challenging.
However, I do want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the 26 members who attended last Sunday’s afternoon game at the Den! A LOSS IN LAS VEGAS It was disheartening watching the Browns fall short last Sunday, especially in a very winnable game. In the end, mistakes and miscues led to us not being able to rally back to victory. I’m tired of sounding like a broken record so I won’t go into the same grievances.
TAKING ON THE COMMANDERS–SEMBB KIDS’ DAY The Browns are on the East Coast to take on the 3-1 Washington Commanders. Washington’s offense is on fire although their defense is suspect. Yes, we’re dinged up on both sides of the ball, but it looks like we’ll be getting a few offensive starters back for the game. The line has us a 3-point underdogs–something we’re painfully familiar with. Kickoff is at 1 pm, and the local affiliate will not be broadcasting the game.
I’ll be there to host the viewing along with my daughter Jessica and my granddaughter Jaycee. So, I’m declaring this Sunday SEMBB Kids’ day! All children under 12 who will be in attendance with their parent(s) will get a special Browns toy. To make sure I have enough for each child, please reply back ASAP to this email or text me at 216-375-3143 and let me know how many kids (and ages) you’ll be bringing.
That’s it for this week except, of course, always and forever…
