Greetings SEMBBers!I hope everyone has had a safe and relaxing Labor Day holiday. And, more importantly, it is Week 1 of the 2025 Browns’ Season!
Once again, we experienced–Draft Day drama, Free Agency chaos, Preseason and Training Camp drama and, finally, Cut down day. In other words, a typical lead up to the Browns’ season. Goodbye Kenny Picket and Dustin Hopkins and Welcome Back Flacco. While the upcoming season will certainly give us challenges, let’s hope they will be competitive and entertaining.
We are all set for a viewing location this year. We are back at The Sports Den in Northville.
Address and information:
Northville Sports Den northvillesportsden.com 133 W Main St, Northville, MI 48167 Open – 11 am (248) 347-5993
We will, once again, have the party room for our viewings. Hosts should be there by Noon and have it set up with our colors, etc.
WEEK 1: THE BUNGLES COME TO TOWN The season starts out with the Battle of Ohio, Pt.1 when our Browns host that team form Cincytucky. It’s Burrows Vs. Garret, et al, and Flacco Vs. the rest of the Bengals.
Kickoff is 1 pm. Some of us–yours truly included–will be at the game, but we will have hosts at the Den to help club members ring in the new season!
MOTOR CITY WEEKEND, SEPTEMBER 27-28 The Browns will be in Detroit for a Sunday game against the Lions on the 28th. We are still trying to put together a Backer’s Bash at the Den on Saturday, the 27th. I’ll be honest, it is very difficult finding an alumni who will attend at a reasonable cost; but we are still plugging away. More details to come as things develop.
That’s all for now except, of course, always and forever…
