Greetings SEMBBers!Well, Week 2 is in the books and a short post-mortem of the Ratbirds game is below. Breaking News: Apparently Andre Szmyt injured his calf in practice today and is undergoing an MRI. Anyone got Phil Dawson’s phone number? UGH! UGLY!
There’s not much to say about last Sunday’s debacle in Baltimore. While the first half went well, the disaster of a second half is best forgotten. The only good things I can say about the game was that Andre Szmyt didn’t miss (however, see above news) and we were spared any broadcast of the festivities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Ravens in Baltimore. Although Quinshon Judkins showed a few sparks of potential during the game, despite his holdout. Any further post-mortem comments would be counterproductive.
THE CHEESEHEADS INVADE CLEVELAND
This Sunday, the 0-2 Browns will host the 2-0 Green Bay Packers. Surprisingly, at least to me, is the fact the the spread is only 8.5 points in favor of Green Bay. Could be because the Pack’s O-line is a bit banged up.
Yes, Flacco will start, but we may see Dillon Gabriel if Flacco continues to struggle. The kicker situation is fluid at this point. But if the Defense plays tough and
Kickoff is 1 pm. John Marshall will be in attendance as host for the viewing at The Den, so join him in watching the game unfold!
DETROIT LIONS GAME
Sue to numerous factors, we’ve decided not to host a Saturday Bash on September 27th. There will also be no tailgate planned for downtown. We will however, be holding a viewing at the Den and will have some special raffles for those who come and attend. We likely will have a few out-of-town fans join us as well. More to come next week.
